Psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)
Full Time and Part Time options – Mon-Fri, Days

DESCRIPTION:
Provide initial psychiatric assessment, prescriptions and medication management to adults with severe and persistent mental illness as well as to insurance and private-pay clients with less severe mental illness. Coordinate care with case managers and therapists, as part of an effective treatment team. Provide back-up coverage as needed for other agency prescribers.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A State RN License; ANA Certification; ARNP License; prescriptive authority for psychotropic drugs for adults; and psychopharmacological expertise. Must have DEA authority to prescribe psychotropic medications to adults and successful experience doing so. Must have at least intermediate keyboarding and computer user skills, effective teamwork and communication skills and a positive, solution-focused approach to all aspects of the job.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Prefer experience providing medication management in a fast-paced community mental health center. Prefer candidates already paneled with most major managed care insurance company and experience complying with their requirements. Prefer experience working with clients with co-occurring disorders.
