Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare is a full service community mental health center in south Pierce County with 300 staff and an annual budget of $17 million. DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the leadership, development, oversight, and quality management of Greater Lakes’ adult outpatient and residential services. This includes mental health services provided in the office and in the community, such as Case Management, Therapy, Crisis Services, and Homeless & Housing Services. Provide leadership in improving current programs and in developing new programs to meet evolving agency and department needs. Takes an active role on multiple agency, RSN and County committees. Recruit and retain high-quality staff, monitor program quality and productivity, and develop and monitor budgets and other performance indicators closely.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master’s degree in a mental health field and five years of increasingly responsible management experience in community mental health. Must have a current mental health license in WA State. Must have excellent leadership, administration, and management skills; prior successful performance in managing high quality mental health programs, while demonstrating a strong commitment to both client and staff satisfaction; demonstrated success in program development, project management, staff development, service delivery, and customer relations. Must possess exceptional clinical knowledge with expertise in adults and older adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses, residential programming, operations planning, and community relations.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED FACTORS: Experience managing programs in an RSN/PHP managed care model. Strong knowledge of and experience promoting the Recovery Model, Peer Counselors, and Trauma Informed Care. Experience developing clinical programs in collaboration with community partners. Excellent presentation skills.
