POSITION: MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, Evaluation & Treatment Center
On Call: all shifts
Be part of a talented multi-disciplinary team supporting the recovery process of adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
DESCRIPTION: MHP positions are available at a new recovery-focused mental health Evaluation and Treatment center. Provide inpatient mental health services to adult consumers, including initial intake screening and assessment, treatment planning, one-on-one counseling, and facilitating groups. Collaborate with internal and external providers and staff to ensure effective consumer assessment and treatment. Assist other E&T staff with general milieu management throughout the shift as needed. MHP’s may help coordinate assessment, documentation and testimony for Superior Court mental health hearings and provide consultation to Mental Health Technicians, and Peer Counselors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a master’s degree in a mental health related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years full time clinical mental health experience. Strong preference for experience working with adults with acute mental illness in an inpatient psychiatric facility. Requires well-developed knowledge of major mental illnesses, assessment, symptoms, and treatments. Requires good verbal and written communication skills. Requires ability to assess and respond responsibly to mental health crisis situations. Requires intermediate computer and keyboard skills. Requires ability to work collaboratively, professionally and positively with a multi-disciplinary staff.
COMPETITIVE PAY – On Call: (mandated benefits only – payroll taxes): $23.00/hour, plus shift premium for hours worked on 2nd shift ($0.75) and hours worked on 3rd shift ($1.15).
