POSITION:
MHP Therapist at Community Health Clinic
Part Time
DESCRIPTION:
Assist adults in their journey toward recovery. This is a part-time professional clinical position providing mental health services to adult clients – primarily brief therapy along with some case management. Develop clinically-appropriate individual treatment plans based on mental health diagnosis and clients’ goals, needs and strengths. This position will be located at the Community Health Clinic in Pierce County.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must meet the WAC definition for Mental Health Professional (MHP) – have a minimum of a Master’s degree that included a clinical internship in a mental health related field from an accredited university and at least two years relevant experience supervised by an MHP. Requires successful clinical and case management experience with mentally ill adults, positive solution-focused customer service skills, and solid computer user skills. Must be well organized and able to complete all administrative and clinical paperwork in a timely, effective manner. Must have knowledge of and experience accessing and interacting with community resources. Requires a valid WA State Driver’s License, good driving record, dependable transportation and private auto insurance. Must have a currently valid clinical credential from WA State Department of Health or eligible for an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Prefer knowledge of and skill in using Motivational Interviewing. Prefer Licensed MSW, Licensed MHC, or Licensed MFT clinicians.
STARTING PAY:
$18.64 to $23.01/hr, depending on qualifications.
